Insider Tips for the Best Experience

When it comes to parasailing, the devil is in the details. It’s the little things that can elevate your experience from good to unforgettable. If you have any fears or concerns, don’t hesitate to voice them. The instructors at Miami Watersports are trained to handle all kinds of situations and can adjust the ride to your comfort level. For example, if you’re nervous about heights, they can start you off at a lower altitude and gradually take you higher as you become more comfortable.

Why Miami Watersports is Your Go-To for Parasailing

Miami Watersports stands out for its commitment to customer satisfaction. We offer a range of parasailing packages that can be customized to meet your specific needs. Whether you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion like an anniversary or want to try something new, we’ve got you covered.

We also prioritize safety above all else. Our equipment undergoes regular maintenance checks, and our instructors are certified professionals with years of experience. This ensures that you can focus on enjoying your adventure without any worries.

Timing is Everything

One of the best-kept secrets for an optimal parasailing experience is choosing the right time of day. Early morning flights offer calmer winds and less crowded skies. Why is this important? Calmer winds mean a smoother ride and less crowded skies give you a more personalized experience. For example, early morning flights often allow for extended time in the air, as operators are not rushed to accommodate a long queue of thrill-seekers.

Wind Direction Matters

Another insider tip is to consider the direction of the wind. A north or south wind provides the smoothest ride along Miami’s coastline. This is because the city’s coastline runs primarily north-south, and a wind blowing in that direction creates less turbulence. For instance, if you’ve ever experienced a bumpy parasailing ride, chances are the wind was coming from the east or west. Knowing the wind direction can help you pick the perfect day for your adventure.

The Right Gear for the Right Experience

When it comes to parasailing, the right gear can make all the difference. While Miami Watersports provides all the necessary equipment, knowing what to wear and bring can enhance your experience. Opt for swimwear that’s snug but comfortable, as loose clothing can create drag and make your ride less enjoyable. Footwear is optional, but if you choose to wear shoes, make sure they’re secure. Flip-flops are a no-go; they’ll likely end up in the ocean. For example, a customer once wore loose sandals and lost them during the flight. Not only did it make for an uncomfortable experience, but it also meant an unplanned expense to replace the lost footwear.

Sun Protection is Key

Miami’s sun can be intense, especially when you’re out on the water. Sunscreen is a must, but not just any sunscreen will do. Opt for a water-resistant, high-SPF formula that won’t run into your eyes. A hat and sunglasses with a securing strap can also provide added protection. For instance, we had a guest who skipped the sunscreen and ended up with a painful sunburn that took days to heal. Don’t underestimate the Miami sun; come prepared.

The Miami Watersports Advantage: Affordability and Flexibility

One of the most compelling reasons to choose Miami Watersports for your parasailing adventure is our commitment to making the experience both affordable and flexible. If you change your mind before your parasailing session begins, please inform our staff, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request. • What should I wear/ bring?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a camera to capture the memories. If you plan to take a dip in the water, a swimsuit and towel are also recommended.
